  • Multimedia Youth Contest (2016-2017)
  • Annual St. Joseph’s Christmas Show (December 14, 2016)
Our gym was filled to the brim with Christmas spirit on December 14 thanks to our students in preschool to grade five.  Our annual Christmas Show included holiday songs, skits, and the traditional reciting of the Gospel of Luke.  A big thank you to Mrs. de Alvare and the PreK to grade 5 teachers for their hard work preparing the students for the show.  Thank you to Jen Roscigno for setting up the beautiful decorations!  For more Christmas Show photos, visit our school’s Facebook page.

  • Robot Design Award (December 3, 2016)
Our Robotic Eagles won the “Robot Design” Award at their regional robotics competition!  They also earned a spot at the State Competition, held at Windham High School on December 3.  As part of their research for the First Lego League challenge “Animal Allies” they developed a solution to the problem of large birds striking aircraft.  They took a field trip to Lawrence Airport where they met with the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing and questioned members of the unit command.  The officers answered questions and shared their own experiences.  The students were then treated to an up-close look at the State Police Helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft.  Congratulations to our Student Engineers and their Coaches:  Isabella Berard, Jason Lavoie, Lindsay Palermo, Bella Pontbriand, Lexi Pontbriand, David Sader, Louis Sader, Trevor Woodworth, Coach Bob Palermo, Coach Vin Roscigno, and Mentor Luke Latino! • Thanksgiving Food Drive (November 2016)
This year’s Thanksgiving Food Drive was a huge success!  We collected 57 turkeys!  We made and distributed 41 baskets to Mary Queen of Peace, St. Luke’s/Holy Angels, St. Matthews, and St. Anne’s.  In addition, 15 turkeys, a bushel of potatoes, and a monetary donation was made to the Pleasant Street food pantry located next door to the school.  I would like to thank Diana Feghali and her friends and family, Margo Harrison, Darlene Carrol, and Dr. & Mrs. Ugo Gagliardi for all of their generous donations.  I would like to thank all of the people who assisted with this food drive including the students, staff members, Ashley Adkins, Bridgette Martel, Linda Krisciunas, June Berard, Annemarie LaFauci, Monique Donovan, and Anne Berni. Thank you!  Lori Norris, Chairperson Thanksgiving Food Drive.
